Has a hail storm just blown through your area and damaged your car?
Hail storm damage can be incredible frustrating, and if you have no indoor parking space there is little you can do about it.
To add salt to the wound, when a hail storm blows through an area, tens of thousands of cars can get affected and you can wait for months for the insurance company to assess your car so that you can get it repaired, driving around in hail damaged car in the mean time.
If you have had the misfortune of having your car damaged by a hail storm, we are here to help.
As experts in car assessing, we are able to correctly assess the hail damage on your car and provide a report on the true cost of the repair.
What makes hail damage so difficult is that it damages many different parts of the car, including little things like trim bits, seals, plastic parts as well as the main panels like the roof, bonnet and boot lid.
If these are not correctly assessed, you will find that when it comes time to pay for the repair, it will be much larger than initially expected, and you may not get paid out the full amount.
Not only that, but due to the fact that thousands of cars get damaged by hail at the same time, you could be waiting for months on your insurance company to assess your car in order to start the repair.
We allow you to essentially “skip the queue” by getting your car assessed by us so that your repair can start.
Another due with hail damage is because it is so extensive, often insurance companies will just write off the car.
However, in order to do this, they often significantly undervalue the car in order to justify calling it a total loss. Then they sell the car to make some of the money back, and you are left out of pocket.
Here’s an example of how that would work:
Your car gets damaged due to hail. The insurance company values the car at $10,000, when in actual fact the car is worth $15,000 at market prices.
The repair cost is $10,000, so they write it off instead of repairing it. You get paid $10,000 for a $15,000 vehicle, and they sell the car off at auction and make $4000-5000 back from the car. So for them in reality they only paid out about $5000, but you got less than your car was worth and can’t buy an equal replacement.
The question you have to ask is, is it really in the insurer’s best interest to repair your car?
We are here to ensure that this doesn’t happen, and that your car gets valued at true market value and correctly repaired.
Our hail damage assessment report will include both the true value of the vehicle at the time right before the damage occurred, as well as the true cost of the repair, so that you get a proper pay out that will fully cover the repair or cost of replacement of the vehicle with like for like.
If you own or lease a commercial fleet that was parked outside at the time of the hail storm and you now have a number of cars that need to be repaired, we can help.
Our hail damage assessors are experts in all types of vehicles and will assess not only passenger vehicles but also utes, trucks, vans and more. We will work with you to ensure that all of your vehicles get a true assessment so that you can get the whole fleet sorted, whether that means repair or replacement.
If the insurance company does agree to pay for the repair, they will most likely push to have a PDR repair done.
PDR stands for paintless dent repair and is a method of panel repair that involves precise panel beating to repair dents in the body work.
The problem with PDR is that often this is not the correct repair process for hail damage.
In order to perform PDR correctly and get to all the dents from the hail damage, the technicians will often drill holes into the inner panels of the car – including structural areas – in order to be able to get their tools into the correct place to perform the repair.
This then renders the car a total loss, and if ever discovered, would not only render the car unroadworthy but will severely reduce its resale value.
We will ensure that when your car gets repaired, it gets repaired using the correct process for the damage. There is a time and place for PDR, but often times proper body work needs to be carried out, and we will ensure that your hail damage repair is done correctly using the appropriate repair procedures for the job.

Excellent service if a little hard to get hold of every now and again Lucy Davison2024-09-25Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Everyone in the team helped me beyond words can describe! I bumped a car door in a car park, thought nothing of it it was so small (2cm deep 10cm wide), and their insurance company sent me a bill for almost $10,000! I was beyond shocked, I was terrified and unsure of what to do. I googled it and did some investigating and found National Assessing. They rang me, emailed me, answered every question and just generally helped me through every step of the awful situation. They reassessed the quote so thoroughly, wrote paragraphs of explanation to the insurance, and explained that the actual costs should be closer to $3,000! Basically, the mechanic scammed the insurance company who tried to pie their assessment error onto me! With National Assessings help and advice, I was able to negotiate with the insurance company to pay $2,000. Long story short they saved me $8,000 which I never ever should've had to pay! But not just that, they helped me stand up to a huge company who were intimidating me with jargon and court threats. Thank you so much Frank, Neringa and the whole team!
